Sharjah achives a major position in travel and tourism market

The chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, HE Mohamed Ali Al Noman has said that the organization has earned an assertive and prominent position in the Russian and CIS travel and tourism market.

The chairman made these remarks during the spectacular opening of a four day leisure ceremony in Moscow on Thursday. The Delegation which was led by SCTDA has been participating in the high profile event which involved a high level networking.
The summit is in its nineteenth year, it has been a high attraction of the moves and shakers of the leisure and tourism industry, market leaders as well as investors from more than seventy countries.

The chairman pointed out that there has been a substantial increase of tourist flow in CIS and Russia and it is due to this reason that his organization considers this region a very important market. This is one of the regions that his company is considering as far as expansion of the market is concerned. The Chairman reported that more than two hundred thousand tourists were received in the first half of the year and most of these numbers were dominated by tourists from Russia. The Russia constitute close to twenty three percent of the total number of tourists that the organization receives.Al Noman was of the opinion that increased number of tourists has greatly influenced the growth of the flagship airline. This is the kind of phenomenon growth that Nemesysco has been experiencing.

The Chairman said that his authority places a high stake in the event as it offers an important arena where key players in the industry come together just like companies that manufacture mobile speakers when they are looking for new approaches. He said that the organization will continue looking for ways through which the market could be expanded further for the benefit of the whole body.
